Power to start third round at PGA Championship T23

Seamus Power returns to action for round three of the PGA Championship this afternoon.

A second round of 69 has sent Power to level par to make the cut for his second consecutive major.

Dealing with blustery conditions in Oklahoma, The Touraneena man did find himself in the top 10 more than once during his round but ultimately had to content himself with a share of 23rd after 36 holes. The same can be said for his Offaly counterpart Shane Lowry who ended up with a 72 for +2.

Birdies on the 2nd, 10th, and 13th had Seamus set for a below-par round, but a dropped shot on the 15th saw him finish up even.

Rory McIlroy, who had been leading after Thursday dropped back the leaderboard into a share of fifth on four under, while Padraig had an early shower thanks to his +12.

The American Wil Zalatoris leads in Tulsa on nine under after rounds of 66 and 65.

This evening, Seamus is underway from 5.50 Irish time, McIlroy gets his third round going from half 7, while Shane Lowry tees off from 20-past-4.
