A section of the Dunmore Road remains closed this evening, as emergency services continue to deal with a fire at a vacant warehouse.
Gardaí and several units of the fire service are still at the scene of the blaze beside the Circle K petrol station on the Dunmore Road in Waterford.
Traffic has built up in the area, with a section of the road closed from the Maypark Lane roundabout near UHW, to the roundabout at Newtown School.
An appeal was made to residents in the area to close windows and doors for a time, amid fears toxic fumes were being omitted from the former Power Seeds building.

However, Gardaí in Waterford say the appeal has been lifted and the area is no longer deemed to be hazardous.
