Scam calls from 051 numbers
Gardai are warning people to be vigilant of receiving calls from 051 numbers.
There have been reports of people receiving an 051 number, a Waterford prefix, they have been told they are entitled to a tax refund of varying amounts.
The scammer then looks for bank or credit card details.
Gardai are reminding people that THIS IS A SCAM, not to entertain the caller and to hang up
Revenue or your Bank will not look for your bank details over the phone.
