13:00: Gardaí in Thomastown says the road has now reopened to traffic.
Earlier today...
A section of the N24 Waterford to Limerick road has been closed following a road traffic collision north of Mooncoin.
Emergency services were informed of the incident at around 9:12 am this morning, and it's understood one person has been taken to hospital.

Their condition is not yet known.
Members of the Fire Services, an ambulance and Gardaí are currently at the scene just outside the village of Mooncoin on the Carrick Road.
