In episode 11, the penultimate in my "Bold Moves" feature series about Waterford-based people who set up business in the Pandemic, I spoke to Craig Dee of Crough Coffee. Craig and his business partner Stephen Lynch opened the premises in July 2020, on the site of the old shop at Mahon Falls. The lads are already running the successful eatery Coach House Coffee in Kilmacthomas.

After many years of speculation, UK pub chain JD Wetherspoon has confirmed its plans to open a premises in Waterford. Development work will begin on June 28th on "Arundel Gate," which will occupy the disused building on the corner of Arundel Street and Broad Street in Waterford City. It's hoped the pub will be open for Christmas.
