Bausch and Lomb are holding their very own Viking Marathon on site today, raising money for Irish Guide Dogs For The Blind in doing so.

Outside both canteens, Bausch and Lomb have spinning bikes, kindly provided by SETU.

Staff are aiming to do 42kms separately across both locations.

"This is all in the run-up to the big day on the 25th of June. Excitement is building", said Maire Prendergast, HR Business Manager with Bausch and Lomb.

"It's a great morning. We've been looking forward to this over the last number of weeks. To get a bit of a buzz going for the big day, we decided to run a spinathon. The staff are in great spirits and delighted to be taking part to help such a good cause."

Anne Kenneally from Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind said: "We're delighted to be here today with Bausch and Lomb doing the virtual marathon to raise much-needed funds for Irish Guide Dogs. We are so thrilled to be the nominated charity for the Viking Marathon. If you haven't signed up yet, please do to support Irish Guide Dogs."

WLR are delighted to welcome The Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind Waterford Viking Branch as our 2023 Waterford Viking Marathon Charity Partner.
