A status yellow wind warning is to come into effect in Waterford this morning.
The alert is valid from 11am until 9pm tonight.
Met Éireann is warning that gusts of up to 110 kilometres per hour are possible, with Cork, Kerry, Wexford and Wicklow also under the same alert.
Meanwhile, a yellow warning has also been issued for rain in Galway and Kerry until 9pm.

The forecaster says there will be spells of heavy rain at times today, which may lead to localised flooding.
The highest rainfall amounts in mountainous areas.
