Over 2,500 Ukrainian refugees now living in Waterford

Over 2,500 Ukrainian refugees are now living in Waterford, having arrived between March 2022 and February of this year.

2,827 International Protection applicants are currently residing in Waterford, the majority of whom are living in the Tramore and Waterford City West area (1,275).

This is followed by Waterford City South with 526, while there have been 464 arrivals in Dungarvan to date.

279 Ukrainian nationals currently reside in Waterford City East, while there are 213 in Lismore and 70 in Portlaw-Kilmacthomas.

779 hosts in Waterford are currently in receipt of Accommodation Recognition Payment to host arrivals from Ukraine, according to the Central Statistics Office.

268 arrivals from Ukraine enrolled in primary education in schools across Waterford, whilst there have been 207 secondary enrolments.
