Damien Tiernan discussed the closure of Cartamundi after 45 years in Waterford and was joined by a whole host of contributors.

Current employee Keith and former employees Wayne and Eoin shared their memories, as did numerous listeners who messaged the show.

Waterford TDs David Cullinane, Marc Ó Cathasaigh and Minister of State Mary Butler gave their reaction along with SIPTU Sector Organiser Martin O'Rourke.

John O'Connor of The Munster Express spoke abut the importance of the plant to Waterford over the years.

The show also featured clips from the media briefing given by President of Cartamundi Solutions Division David Germis and interviews with three female employees as they left the plant after hearing the news of the planned closure.
