Digital hubs in the Blackwater Valley

Last week the government unveiled plans which include offering free vouchers for people to use remote working hubs.

Recently, I travelled to Tallow where I met Seán Tobin, Pat Williams and Aisling Curran of the Blackwater Valley Economic Development Zone.

They told me about four state-of-the-art digital hubs near completion at Tallow, Lismore, Cappoquin and Villierstown.

Network Ireland Business Women of the Year

I was also be joined by Karen Murphy of Murphy Larkin Timber Products, and Suzanne Parker of Parker Law, two of the many women who picked up awards at the recent Network Ireland Business Women of the Year awards at an event in Waterford Castle.

The spoke about their own businesses, and what it means to be recognised by Network Ireland.

Waterford people asked to partake in a trial at SETU

And, Professor John Nolan of SETU was in studio to explain why he and his team of researchers are looking for Waterford people to take part in a trial that involves eating very nutritious yoghurt.
