Aoibhin Fallon was in for Mary O Neil on The Hot Desk this week and she spoke to Frances O'Reilly from Dog Dry. Frances set up Dog Dry from her home in Passage East, her first product, the dog drying robe, was a huge success and now she has expanded the business with the release of the Dog Dry memory foam travel bed.
Waterford Fine Gael senator John Cummins had details of a Small and Medium-sized Enterprises conference which is happening in Waterford this weekend to find out what SMEs would like to see in the upcoming budget. The event will feature speakers in the areas of enterprise and business and political leaders including An Taoiseach Leo Varadkar, as well as Ministers Simon Coveney and Paschal Donohoe.
Also on the show, Liam Dunne from Klearcom, who recently won the High Potential Exporters Award at the Irish Exporters Awards. Liam spoke about the challenges facing exporters, particularly since Brexit, and what the award means to the company.
And finally on the show, the newly elected president of the Waterford chamber Niall Harrington, from Fewer, Harrington and partners architects, who spoke to Dymphna Nugent about his ambitions for his term in office.
