Waterford Camogie get 2024 off to a winning start

The Waterford senior camogie squad have gotten 2024 off to a winning start having seen off Tipperary at the Ragg.

It was their first competitive game since the All-Ireland final defeat to Cork last August and marked the first game of the Jerry Wallace era.

Waterford led by 1-5 to 0-6 at the break, Beth Carton scoring a goal early on for the Deise while Niamh Rockett contributed two points from play.

The Deise kicked on again in the second period, extending their lead to five - before eventually holding off Tipperary on a scoreline of 1-10 to ten points.

It's a winning start to Division 1A for Waterford, having been promoted last season.
