Limerick welcomed the first New Years baby at seven seconds past midnight.
The little boy was born at the University Maternity Hospital - the hospital also delivered the first Christmas Day Baby.
University Hospital Waterford saw the birth of the second baby of 2018, a little girl, at 23 minutes past twelve.
While just seven minutes later at 12.30 Wexford General Hospital delivered the third baby of the New Year.
