€5,000 worth of illegal tobacco, and an Audi A6 car, were among items seized by Revenue Officials as part of an intelligence led operation in Waterford City on Friday last.
Two men, one in his forties and the other in his thirties, have been questioned in connection with the seizures and a file is being prepared with a view to prosecution.
The contraband tobacco, branded ‘Flandria Golden Blend Virginia’, represents a potential loss to the Exchequer of around €4,000.
