County Senior hurling Quarter-Final action begins tomorrow

Ballygunner will be hoping to take another step towards a fourth successive Co. Senior hurling title when they face age old rivals Mount Sion in the first of this weekend's Quarter-Finals tomorrow.

The Gunners went throughout their group campaign with five wins from five, including last week's win over De La Salle.

Mount Sion have had an indiferent campaign with just two wins against Roanmore and Portlaw.

Former Waterford hurling manager and current Westmeath boss Michael Ryan feels Ballygunner are the team to beat but claims Mount Sion are capable of producing a big display

Fraher Field plays host to a double bill tomorrow evening.

First up at 6pm, Ballyduff Upper and Tallow will put their lives on the line when they meet in the Relegation Final.

Portlaw escaped the drop last year when they beat Cappoquin.

That's followed at 7:30 by the all-Western Quarter-Final meeting between Abbeyside and Lismore.

Lismore have been impressive upon their return to the Senior ranks, while Abbeyside booked their last eight spot with a one point win over Ballyduff Upper last weekend.
