Metalwork, art and beekeeping are just some of the activities available in the new Men’s Shed opened up at the Six Cross Roads Business Park in Waterford city.
It will be for men aged eighteen and upwards and is the first for the city.
The shed movement in Ireland began just six years ago, but there are now over four hundred men’s sheds across the country.
Businesses and people interested in donating supplies to the shed can call into the premises for further details.
Mayor Pat Nugent paid tribute to brothers Matty and Martin O’Shea for donating the building for the shed.
