Gardaí in Dungarvan are appealing for anyone who may have come into contact with a man, who suffered head injuries in the town on Sunday morning, to contact them.
The man, in his 30's, was discovered lying on the footpath of T.F. Meagher Street at around 1 o'clock on Sunday morning.
He was attended to by paramedics on site and is currently receiving treatment at Cork University Hospital.
Anyone who may have witnessed the circumstances leading up to the incident, or who may have been in contact with the man, is asked to contact Dungarvan Garda Station on 058 486 00.
