Munster derby this evening as Waterford FC welcome Cork City for crucial tie in Airtricity League Premier Division

The RSC plays host to another massive Munster derby this evening as Waterford FC aim to return to winning ways in the Airtricity League Premier Division.

Cork City roll into town in second place and lie just one point behind leaders Dundalk.

The Blues are a point ahead of Shamrock Rovers in third position and a win this evening would be a massive boost as Waterford bid to qualify for Europe.

This will be the fourth meeting of the sides this season, Waterford overcame the Leesiders by 2 goals to 1 in a lively encounter in April at the Kilbarry venue, while City got the better of the Blues when they met twice at Turners Cross.

Dessie Hutchinson the Waterford born midfielder and defender believes the team were a little unlucky to lose their last two games.

Dessie told WLR Sport getting back on track against Cork would kick-start their European footballhopes for next season once again.

Dessie is anticipating a great atmosphere for this evening's crucial game.

The action is underway at 8pm, Matt Keane will keep us updated across the evening here on WLR.

Meanwhile, all of this evening's other games in the top-flight kick off at a quarter-to-eight.

There's a relegation 'six-pointer' at Dalymount Park where Bohemians host Limerick.

Basement side Bray go to St Pat's while Derry City welcome fellow north-west side Sligo Rovers to the Brandywell.
