A busy weekend of action in the County Senior hurling Championship gets underway with the opening round of Relegation games this evening in Fraher Field

First up on the double header is the clash of An Rinn and Lismore

Both sides were very unlucky in their play-off games a fortnight ago, An Rinn pushed Mount Sion all the way before losing by two points

Lismore played out a thrilling game with Dungarvan, with the Old Borough coming out on top after extra-time

The second game sees Fourmilewater take on Ballyduff Upper.

Both sides suffered narrow extra-time defeats two weeks ago, at the hands of Roanmore and Tallow respectively.

Fourmile' selector Tom Guriy says the defeat against the Sky Blues was difficult to take.

Tom told WLR Sport all the clubs are keen to hang onto their senior status.

Throw-in for that one is at 8:15 pm, and Tomás McCarthy will have updates on both games across the evening here on WLR.

Meanwhile, there's one game this evening in the Eastern Junior A hurling Championship.

Roanmore and Passage clash in Walsh Park for a 7 pm throw-in.
