Vital night of action in the top flight as Blues face St. Patrick's Athletic for the fourth time this season

Waterford FC face one of their biggest games of the season in Innichore this evening as the Blues take on St. Patrick's Athletic in a vital Airtricity League Premier Division encounter.

The Blues go into the game in good form with three away wins on the bounce, two FAI Cup wins at Skerries and Drogheda and a vital 2-1 victory over Derry City at the Brandywell.

Shamrock Rovers caused a big upset defeating leaders Dundalk mid-week, and the Blues have just a one point lead over the Dubliners in third place as both sides strive for European football next season.

Waterford FC defender Gary Comerford told WLR Sport he has no problem playing five away games on the bounce.
