The Villa miss opportunity to go top of Waterford Premier League

The Villa missed an opportunity to go top of the Waterford Premier League last night when they lost an extraordinary game in Ben Wadding Park. The home side Bohemians came out on top 3-2 in a game that produced four penalties and a yellow card count that reached double numbers.

Brian Nolan netted two of the spot kicks for Bohemians and he squandered the chance to score a hat-trick of penalties when his third effort was saved.

Frank Galvin headed the winning goal for the hosts six minutes from full time.

Adan Heaslip and Sean O'Keeffe were the Villa goalscorers.
