The main Orchardstown to Tramore is closed following two separate incidents - one of which is understood to be serious.
Gardaí in Tramore say several people have been taken to hospital following a two-vehicle collision.
It happened close to Shangan Cross at around 4:15pm this afternoon.
Emergency services and Gardaí are currently at the scene and are advising motorists to avoid the area.
Meanwhile, a separate incident has also taken place on the stretch of road which not understood to be serious at this time.

The Orchardstown to Tramore road will be closed until further notice.
