Waterford actor Michael Power to return next month

Waterford actor Michael Power will return to the Theatre Royal stage next month to work on a new play titled 'The Attack.'

The play was written by Pat Daly and will be directed by Liam Butler.

Set in Waterford City, it tells a story of a good man's life-altering journey to his dark side. It features Pat's gritty realism and dark humour.

Michael and Pat first collaborated in 1999 on Red Kettle’s production of Pat’s professional debut, “The Pilferers” and have since worked together on a number of Pat's plays.

In 2005, Michael directed Pat’s play “GTI”, starring Liam Butler. The trio have produced, directed, and acted in each other's work over the years and are excited to work together again.

In 2019, Michael and Pat collaborated on the writing of a new work, “Undocumented”, with Tony Kelly. It was broadcast on WLR in 2020 and you can listen to it here.

The play will run from August 16th - 20th. Tickets are available via the Theatre Royal website.
