West Waterford Festival of Food returns next Spring

The West Waterford Festival of Food is returning to its traditional Spring date next year.

The festival, which is one of Ireland's biggest food festivals will take place from April 14th-16th 2023.

67,000 people visited this years event which was held in June to allow those involved more time to prepare.

Over 27,000 people attended on Saturday the 11th, while over 40,000 attended on the Sunday.

"The record-breaking attendance this year shows how much people are embracing this new love of food, as they came out in their droves to experience the exceptional produce of our local and national producers," Maeve Quill, West Waterford Festival of Food CEO said.

She added that next years 14th food festival will look to match and exceed these visitor figures next year, and highlighted the important role than food can play in bringing people together.

More than 100 events for people of all ages took place at the 2022 West Waterford Festival of Food. Seven-course tatsings, long table feasts and outdoor discoveries are just a few that went ahead.

The programme for next years events will be announced in February/March.
