A scene in Waterford City was cordoned off in Waterford City earlier today after reports of a person having been found unresponsive.
Gardaí and ambulance attended the scene at a residence in the Spring Garden Alley area shortly after 12 o'clock.
A woman in her mid-sixties was found unresponsive and was subsequently pronounced dead.
This is the second suspected sudden death incident in the city in the last two days.

Separately, a man in his 70s was discovered on the John's River Greenway yesterday morning.
Despite CPR being administered he was also pronounced dead a short time later.
