Domestic violence calls in Waterford increased during Covid

There was a 29% increase in domestic violence call-outs in Waterford during Covid.

According to statistics released to Aontú, there were 319 more call-outs in 2021 than in 2019.

Up to September this year, there were 894 incidents in Waterford.

Nationally, the incidents increased by 30% during the pandemic.
