Newtown in Tramore is the subject of a further planning application for 35 proposed homes.

This follows an application for 11 serviced residential sites earlier this week.

Cosmo Developments Newtown Ltd have requested planning permission for the construction of 35 new homes in Newtown Park.

The development is proposed to be built on lands owned by Causeway Hospitality Limited.

Plans for the 35 homes consist of 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes, of both semi-detached and terraced design.

Of the 35 homes, 8 will be transferred to Waterford City and County Council's housing stock.

A new access road will be constructed from the existing Newtown Park housing estate to link both phases of the development.

Cosmo Developments Newtown Ltd, a Kildare based company, received conditional permission earlier this year for the development of the former Old Tramore Hotel site on Strand Street.

A decision on the Newtown development is due on or before August 7th 2024.
