A planning application seeking to construct glamping pods in East Waterford has been withdrawn.

An application in the names of Colin and Ger Fennelly for the construction of six glamping pods, along with all associated site works, at Coolbunnia, Cheekpoint had been submitted to Waterford City and County Council last week.

However, the application was withdrawn today (Tuesday).

Last week, Waterford City and County Council refused an application for an extensive glamping development at Tramore Burrow from Aengus Rory Walsh, citing flood risk and the impact of climate change.
