Waterford boy who sustained head injuries expected to make full recovery

A 14-year-old boy who was rushed to hospital following an incident in Waterford earlier this week is expected to make a full recovery.

The 14-year-old was rushed by helicopter Rescue 117 to Temple Street Children's Hospital in Dublin, having sustained a serious head injury when falling from his bike in the Kill area at around 8.40pm on Monday night.

The helicopter landed at the local GAA pitch, having been facilitated by members of the Bonmahon Coast Guard Unit.
