Listen Back to Greta Rochford on Showtime

Listen Back to Greta Rochford on Showtime.

Greta is one of the best known singers in Waterford. She joined us to look back over her theatre career and to pick out some music.

We started with her early years in De La Salle College and Stage Fright. During her time at Stage Fright she played iconic parts in Grease and Chicago.

Tops of the Town also appeared in Greta's history and she shared some great anecdotes.

Greta is on of the few Waterford performers to appear on the West End Stage. She played in 'The Beautiful Game' and had wine beside Andrew Lloyd Webbers stove.

Listen back for all this and much more with some great selections of music.

Greta's choice of music was -

Some People - from 'Gypsy'. Her favourite version is by Bernadette Peters from the 2003 recording.

No-one Is Alone -  the beautiful ballad from Sondheims 'Into The Woods'.

I Still Believe - from the original cast recording of 'Miss Saigon'.

What About Love? - the first song we've ever played from the soundtrack of 'The Color Purple'.

Our Kind Of Love - the song from the role that Greta understudied on the West End stage. Of course it is from 'The Beautiful Game'.

Not A Day Goes By - from the Stephen Sondheim masterpiece 'Merrily We Roll Along'.
