Get ready for a festive feast of music in Waterford from Nov 17 to Dec 23, 2023! 🎶
The Irish Doctor’s Choir kicks off the Winterval Choral Trail at Christ Church Cathedral on Nov 26, 3.30pm. They're belting out Handel’s ‘Samson’ with soloists and a French Baroque Ensemble. It's a two-hour uplifting show supporting the Solas Cancer Support Centre.
Next up, on Dec 3 at St John’s Church, it’s 'The Armed Man - Mass for Peace' by Notable Works. The Waterford Concert Orchestra, led by Eimear Heeney, and Conductor Kevin O’Carroll bring Karl Jenkins’ powerful piece to life. It's an hour of musical intensity exploring the consequences of war.
Movie buffs, brace yourselves! On Dec 10 at SETU Arena, catch the classic 'Home Alone' with the National Symphony Orchestra playing the score live. Conducted by Caleb Young, and featuring Cór na nÓg, this festive favorite is set to charm with John Williams' delightful score.
As Christmas approaches, join the Waterford Lions Club Christmas Concert at the Cathedral on Dec 16, 4pm.
And hey, if you’re part of a choir, Winterval wants you! Email [email protected] to spread your festive cheer on the main stage.
