Waterford Garda Watch: Sergeant O'Neill on thefts, criminal damage and property protection

On this week's Waterford Garda Watch, Jordan Norris was joined in studio by Waterford's Crime Prevention Officer, Sergeant Deirdre O'Neill from Waterford Garda Station.

Sergeant O'Neill spoke of recent thefts and criminal damages that Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward on - as well as an active missing person's appeal.

Waterford's Crime Prevention Officer also shared details of a new property protection app that has launched by Gardaí in recent weeks.

The incidents discussed were:

  • Criminal Damage - Mitchell Street, Dungarvan
  • Theft - Mount Congreve, Kilmeaden
  • Theft - Francis Street, Waterford City
  • Theft - Hanover Street, Waterford City
  • Criminal Damage - Union Road, Kilmacthomas

Gardaí in Waterford are also reminding people to be vigilant as an impersonation scam occurred in the Ardmore area this week which saw an elderly man stolen from.
