The Waterford Wildcats advanced in the Champions Trophy playoffs on Saturday evening, beating Fr Mathews by 10 points at the Mercy Gym.
Waterford secured their playoff spot finishing the regular season in third, while the Cork outfit squeaked into the post-season in the last available spot.
The Wildcats took the spoils 87-77 to advance to the final four where they will take on the league runners-up, Liffey Celtics.
Jade Compton top scored with 29 points, while Alarie Mayze shot 20 and Helena Rohan added 13.
The semi-final with the Celtics will be played on Bank Holiday Monday as the Wildcats look to get one back on the Dublin side.
The last time they met was on the final day of the normal season with Liffey winning as they battled to top the table.
