O negative donors are being asked to make a special effort to give blood in County Waterford today.
The Irish Blood Transfusion Service has just three days supply of this type and is facing high hospital demand.
There's a clinic at Lawlor's Hotel, Dungarvan from 3pm to 5pm and from 7pm to 9pm today.
Only 8% of the population have O negative blood but it makes up 15% of blood supplied to hospitals as it can be used for any patient.
