A missing Interpol report has been filed for 20-year-old John Power from Waterford City, who went missing in Maastricht on the 9th of June.
John moved there 18 months ago for work.
On June 9th, he told a friend he was moving to Berlin, and since then he has gone silent on media which is completely out of character.
John's family are in Maastricht.
Speaking to WLR News this after his father Michael said they're having great difficulty getting answers from police agencies as well as companies that John may have dealt with.
"We're feeling a lot of frustration - at the moment there's a possibility that my son may have travelled to Berlin," he said.
"At the moment the issue is is that the police in Germany are not going to take it on until they get confirmation from the Maasticht police that he has actually left. Until such time as that is issued, we are caught between two stools."
Michael Power said there is no need for the delay.
