Kicking off at 9.30am on December 1st, this features a host of speakers who will discuss Cathal Brugha, who was elected to the first Dáil in 1918 for the Waterford constituency.
The event is entitled "Waterford in 1918 - the contribution of Cathal Brugha."
Dr Pat McCarthy tells Mary that in many ways Brugha was an unsung hero of the independent movement.
