Happy Valley Director confident no fan will be disappointed with show ending

The Waterford director behind the final ever episodes of Happy Valley says he's very confident no fan of the show will be disappointed with its ending.

The hit crime drama, starring Sarah Lancashire, Siobhan Finneran and Charlie Murphy, comes to a close this Sunday evening on BBC One.

Director Fergus O'Brien, who's from Abbeyside, has been telling WLR that it's been a stressful but enjoyable time.

"Sally has written an extraordinary ending. She didn't write multiple ones. There was one and unless you had to be there for the filming of it, nobody else thought that," he said.

He added that he never could have imagined it.
