The Gerbola big top has been pitched up in the center of Waterford for the first time ever.

A brand new Christmas Circus has been created by the legendary family circus company. The Christmas show is an hour long and will delight young and old alike.

It features favourite circus acts including, three death-defying motorcyclists in the Globe of Steel, hilarious clowns and mesmerizing acrobats.

Speaking to WLR,Tara Gerbola said they have a lot to make up for after covid so they were delighted to be asked to be part of the wonderful Winterval festival.  She said it is the first time

they have done a Christmas show and audiences seem to be loving every moment of the festive performances. She said to be in the heart of the city, right off the Appple Market is fantastic

A special sensory-friendly Christmas circus performance will take place on November 25th, December 2nd and the 9th.  Tara said, "the motorbikes will not appear in those shows as they are

very loud, the lights and music will be very low and ear defenders will be provided for anyone who needs them. It's a more toned-down show "

The show runs right through until December 23rd. Tickers are € 10 per person and are available from www.winterval,ie
