Commenting on the An Bord Pleanála decision, FHP Partner, Niall Harrington said:
“We’re thrilled with this decision and look forward to driving on with this development in 2022. I’d like to extend a note of thanks to Senator John Cummins for his trojan work in promoting housing development in Waterford. His assistance and advice with the planning process at every touchpoint has been invaluable."
With panoramic views over Tramore Bay, this development is in a highly desired area of County Waterford and is within walking distance of both the beach and Tramore town centre itself.
Senator John Cummins said:
“I welcome the decision of An Bord Pleanála to grant planning permission for this much-needed housing development in Tramore. This is a prime landbank on the entry into Tramore and will provide much-needed homes for individuals and families. Developments of this nature are essential in supporting Waterford’s population growth in line with the National Planning Framework and I look forward to this development commencing in early course."
These A-rated start-of-the-art homes, which have been designed by Fewer Harrington & Partners Architects, represent the latest in green energy performance and will contribute to significant energy cost savings for the eventual residents.
The development will include new internal roadways and footpaths, as well as the widening of the existing laneway to the west of the site, alterations to the existing roundabout at its entrance, new vehicular and pedestrian access, new boundary treatments, landscaping, drainage, site services, including a new ESB substation, and all ancillary site works.
Construction of the new development is set to begin in early 2022 with the first houses coming to market in the second half of the year through John Rohan, Sherry Fitzgerald.
