West Waterford will have another golfer rising up the professional ranks next season.

Gary Hurley secured his Challenge Tour card for 2023 after finishing fifth in the Order of the Merit on the Alps Tour, where he finished up -7  at the Emilia-Romagna Grand Final.

Hurley can now look forward to planning his year in 2023, without the stress of qualifiers or wild card selections.

He spoke to WLR's Gavin Whelan to reflect on his success.
