In Episode 12 of The Sporting Life, Catherine Power is in conversation with Henry de Bromhead.

Henry De Bromhead took over the training license from his father Harry on January 1st 2000 and had a winner on his first day with Fidalus in Tramore.

Over the last 22 years the Waterford trainer has steadily climbed the training ranks and sits behind only Willie Mullins and Gordon Elliott as Irelands most successful national hunt trainer.
De Bromhead had an incredible 2021 at Cheltenham becoming the first trainer to win the Champion Hurdle, Champion Chase and Gold Cup in the same year and he followed up by saddling Minella Times and Balko Des Flos to  a 1-2 in the Grand National at Aintree a few weeks later.
