The ninth annual Mental Health and Suicide Awareness cycle took place in Mid County Waterford on Easter Sunday.

The event is organised by Fine Gael Councillor Liam Brazil in aid of Suicide or Survive and begins and ends at Crotty's Inn, Leamybrien.

Last year, WLR's interview with Cllr Brazil in which he discussed his personal reasons for staging the cycle each year was shortlisted for a Mental Health Media Award.

WLR's Kieran Foley participated in yesterday's cycle and spoke to some of those in attendance.
