"They'll be extra competitive against us" Jerry Wallace on Cork clash

New Waterford camogie manager Jerry Wallace will face his native county on Saturday in Round 2 of the National League.

Wallace won four All Irelands in five attempts with the Cork minors. He applied for the senior position in the Rebel County, after Matthew Twomey stepped down, but was unsuccessful.

"It's not me that's playing Cork; the girls are playing Cork. I just have to lead the team on Saturday along with Mike Boland. Mike and myself were very much involved for the last couple of years with Cork. We know all the players very well. Look, they'll be extra competitive against us on Saturday. They'll raise their game when they come up against Mike and myself. We know that's going to happen and we've addressed that with our own players."

Throw in for Waterford v Cork is at 2 o'clock on Saturday afternoon at the SETU Arena.
