Waterford band will play Electric Picnic

As Three City Stages makes its debut at Ireland's largest festival this summer, Electric Picnic, eight Irish musicians will make the transition from playing on city streets to the stage, including local Waterford band, 2Time Charlie.  The news about the performance comes with the confirmation that Three Charge & Chill will return to EP.

2Time Charlie, Leah Moran, Salamay, Kestine, Korey Power, Liliana Pinheiro, Bukky, and Arthur Valentine, who make up the City Stages Collective, will combine their musical skills for a very special group performance at Electric Picnic. The ensemble will present the abundance of Irish busking talent seen playing every day on the main streets of cities all around the country, backed by a complete supporting band.

A jury of Irish music industry experts chose 2Time Charlie and the other seven musicians for this special Electric Picnic performance. The panel selected the acts after looking at each performer's career progression as well as the way they performed on a City Stage.

Dublin, Limerick, Waterford, Kilkenny, and Galway are just a few of the towns and places that City Stages travelled to while traversing Ireland. By giving only a handful of musicians the chance to perform on some of the greatest stages in the nation, the programme gives the upcoming generation of musicians—who are now making a living busking on the streets of Ireland—a platform to perform and advance their careers. Nearly 500 musicians have submitted applications to play on a Three City Stage so far.
