Last week it was reported in the Irish Examiner that suicide claimed 70 school children in 2017 and a report in the UK Telegraph shows that cyberbullying can make young people twice as likely to self-harm.
While this morning a report released by Youth Work Ireland showed that teens turn away from teachers and parents and towards the internet for sex education.
These two revelations put forward the question; Is more protection needed for teens while they are online?
Eamon spoke to professor Brendan Kelly of Trinity College in Dublin and author of ‘Mental Health in Ireland,” about the danger that social media is having on youths.
