Waterford Hurling Boss Derek McGrath says he will answer questions on his future next week.

Waterford Hurling Boss Derek McGrath says he will answer questions on his future next week.

The Waterford Senior Hurling Manager says reports that he is set to end his five years in charge next week is pure speculation.

The Irish Independent reports this morning that Derek McGrath will officially part ways next week following their final Munster Championship game against Cork on Sunday, despite having the full backing of the Waterford squad.

Derek McGrath had stated earlier this year that this would be his last season at the helm but after a litany of injuries robbed him of key personnel this summer there have been calls for him to continue into 2019.

Derek told WLR Sport that the report is pure speculation.    He said a huge amount has happened in the last few weeks and he will deal with questions relating
to his future next week.
