A specially commissioned piece by Anne McDonnell was unveiled at Everetts Restaurant

Local artist Anne McDonnell (who runs Passion for Printmaking on facebook,) was chosen by Everetts Restaurant to create a specially commissioned piece to hang on the walls of the eatery.

When the restaurant was closed for two weeks in January, Everetts owners Peter Everett and Keith Noonan chose the winner of the competiton, which they launched at The Imagine Arts Festival. I headed along to a special event at the restaurant, to unveil the painting. You can hear how I got on here...

Piano Day takes place this year on March 28th - the 88th day of the year - marking 88 keys on a standard upright piano.  To hear about what's planned for it, I spoke with organiser Magda Lipinska and committee member Martin Matthews.

Skibereen author Caragh Bell has published her 5th novel - Gabriella - and she's very excited about the fact that Jilly Cooper is a fan! Caragh speaks to me about writing, and how you juggle that with five children and a full time teaching job. She plans to hold a book signing at The Book Centre Waterford between 12pm and 2pm on March 21st.

I spoke to Caragh ahead of that..

Playwright and poet Petra Kindler  joined me in studio to discuss some upcoming projects, including a cross-continental plays she's writing with a view to staging it in Ireland, Germany and Ghana.
