Ballinameela gearing up for Sunday's Munster Junior Club hurling Final

Ballinameela Junior hurlers are gearing up for one of the clubs biggest ever games on Sunday afternoon.

The Waterford champions travel to Mallow to take on a formidable Cork outfit, Cloughduv in the Munster Club Final.

Ballinameela have bounced straight back from the disappointment of last year's relegation, and were impressive winners of the County title with victory over Tramore.

Ballinameela boss Brian Beatty says there's a great buzz amongst their camp ahead of Sunday's challenge.

Brian says the whole area has got behind the team ahead of Sunday's big day.

Speaking to WLR Sport, Brian says it's important the players remain focused on the job in hand.

Waterford football manager Benji Whelan says that there needs to be clarity about whether the five new playing rules will be trialled in the National League.

The GAA have confirmed that there will be a review of the proposals on January 19 following a meeting with the GPA on Wednesday but Whelan feels that a decision should be made sooner

Waterford are back in pre-season training ahead of the new campaign and the Kilmacthomas man is encouraged by the response from the players so far
