Maria spoke to Sandra Power AKA Prosecco Powered Mum, who has set up the #ShairCare fundraiser for Oasis House. While the message during the pandemic has been to stay home, stay safe, Sandra explains that sometimes home isnt the safest place for people. People in abusive relationships are suffering at the moment, with no respite, they are in danger, and now more than ever they need to know that support is available to them.
So she has set up a fundraiser whereby people share their bad hair day pictures with the #ShairCare.. We know how the dodgy home cuts and grey hairs are going!!
Due to restrictions, Domestic Violence Refuge centres are unable to receive their usual donations of clothes/toys etc. so if you could donate even a fraction of what you would normally spend on your visit to the hairdressers, it can go directly to the refuges, so that they can buy vital supplies, like clothing, sanitary products etc. for those who have had to flee their homes.
