"Our Lord rose in three days, I can't see Tipperary hurling resurrecting in six"

There's just hours to go until the Munster Senior Hurling Championship clash of Waterford and Tipperary at Walsh Park.

The Deise are looking to make it back to back wins in Munster following their opening day success against Cork.

The Premier come into the game off the back of a sobering 15-point defeat to Limerick.

Former Waterford captain Brian Flannery believes that a win for Waterford would be enough to see them qualify for the All-Ireland series.

"Five points in Munster is the magic number, but given Tipperary's score difference,  given the fact that Cork have lost their opening two games, I think a win for Waterford you'd have one foot into the knockout stages. It's probably the case with Tipperary this year, there's so much focus on playing Limerick, trying to take down Limerick. Tipperary would have been looking at this for a number of weeks, the same as Waterford 12 months ago, and you invest so much in it, and then you end up devastated after it. It's almost impossible then to recover."

"I mean, I know our Lord rose again after three days - for Tipperary to rise six days after a trim into Limerick, you know, I think it's very unlikely."
